Jack Brown was an absolute gentleman! Honestly, everyone always spoke highly to his character, his integrity and how down to earth he was always. I was proud to work under this man's leadership. He made sure it was like working with family and that Stater Brothers was a family oriented business. He will never be forgotten and has left an amazing legacy. RIP Jack and We'll Done!

My sincere thoughts are with the family at this time. Your loss is very sad, to all of us.
Stater Bros. Made it possible for my son to be employed as a teenager, and have a career.. (now in his 40's) to provide for his family as a husband, and father.. .I have always been proud to say my son is a Stater Bros employee.
I remember the day, I called the main office ...I was an employee in the pediatric unit of Loma Linda children's hospital. . I explained that one of our nurses had lost her daughter in a tragic auto accident..I explained I needed to order some trays of food, and etc, to have after the service... the rest of the story tells exactly what kind of man Jack Brown has always been. A van rolled into the driveway with two of his employees loaded with trays of food!! No charge they told me. "Jack Brown WANTED you to have this".. tears in everyone's eyes, we accepted such kindness in behalf of Jack Brown. And the Stater Bros. Employees. . A true man..not to be forgotten. I called to thank him, and tell him how proud I was to have my son one of his employees.
Jack Brown you will be missed, and we thank you for everything. .. ( I am a 44 year Yucaipa citizen, and appreciated your stores so much)
God Bless..your family during this difficult time.

I met and interviewed Mr. Brown years ago about his career and his business. He was a real gentleman. I will never forget our conversation. It was a delight. Finally, a visionary businessman who walks his talk.

San Bernardino has lost one of the last true pillars of our community. To say that Jack will be missed is a huge understatement. His kindness, generosity, passion, and love of community and country remain as a lasting legacy and memorial. Words are simply not enough to truly honor our hometown boy. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Jack brown was the greatest CEO Stater brothers had appointed. He was a great boss very attentive to his work and employees . June 14 flag day is happy birthday for jack brown and very wise business man jack brown ,Richard Mosley and Harrison light foot were the greatest people to management. I was season ticket holder to Anaheim Angels when jack was part owner and sold his shares to invest in Stater brothers to make a bigger company.

So very sorry to hear of Mr. Brown's "Our Jack" passing, I can still remember when Mr Brown first came to Stater Bros. I was working at the Colton Warehouse in 1981 and management was very different back then to say the least. Mr Brown brought in a new way of thinking toward blue collar union employee / white collar management relations, and what that did was to transform our small Mom & Pops Grocery company from 1936 into the Fortune 500 company that it is today. This bond he built between working class and himself showed strong and loud when we all stood in solidarity with Jack during the Proxy takeover fight in 1986, with even our union members joining him in buying stock to help him in this fight. We found helping Mr Brown helped us all to help ourselves, eachother, and of course, our families, which is why we all work in the first place. Something we can all be proud of. Jack will always be remembered as good hearted & friendly, with a stong influence to his fellow employee's work ethic, but most of all, he will be remembered for his National Patiotism....after all, what less would you expect from a person born on Flag Day. Rest in Peace Sir and Thank You for helping us all throughout the many years
