I had the great pleasure of having Mr. Chapin as a teacher. I graduated his course in 1981. Thanks to him I then began working at Air Products and completed my entire career there. He was an excellent teacher and a good man indeed.

Mr. Jack Chapin was an upright and respectful man. Although I have not seen him in nearly 15 years, I miss him. We will remember him fondly. God Bless Bruce and Anne and their loved ones.

For some reason this line was left out of Jack's obituary.

He is survived by his daughter Ann B. Chapin of Reading, and her son Alonzo Jones of Switzerland.

Morning Bruce:
My Mother, Mrs. John Lucas, informed me that your father died. I had heard some time ago, that your parents had given up their lovely home and moved to a place that offered Assisted living. I last saw your Mother at a Birthday party for my Aunt Dell, another Australian.
I am afraid, that it has been too long since I meet you last.
However, I do remember your Father. So does my brother John, since he was a Professor at Penn State, Berks Campus, when we attended. John, I believe got to see him more often then I did. However, I could recognize his voice anywhere. I always found it a delight to talk to him.
From what I heard, he was a very good influence on many of the students at Penn State.

Mr. Chapin was my professor at Berks Campus from 69 to 71. He was a kind and gentle man who helped shape my charactor and mold me into the man I am today. I will always remember "Duck Soup and Peachy Pie." By the way, he bailed me out many a time from Denton Steffy's drafting class.
