Together we edited An:archy at Cal Poly and remember how he painted his house two-tone green. Lost touch after graduation. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Jack was an amazing husband to Emily and father to Lydia. He was a role model to me as a Dad, as a husband, as a man. He took being 'worldly' to another level.
I'm proud to have called Jack a friend for the past 25 years. He was like my big brother, offering guidance whenever I asked, and I asked a lot!
This past decade I think I spent the most time with Jack at Fenway Park, or mapping out our Red Sox season ticket group, or being miserable talking about how awful the Red Sox were playing.
We shared dozens of nights at Fenway, including a few World Series victories. I'll always remember Jack smiling about the victories. He knew how to live life to the fullest and was immensely generous in sharing his time.
My heart goes out to Emily and Lydia, and I hope to celebrate Jack soon.

Jack lived an amazing life and leaves a sudden and devastating void for Emily and Lydia and everyone he touched. I will always remember and appreciate his twinkling eyes and his generous and kind spirit. Sending love and sympathy.

I already miss him so much! He had a beautiful and meaningful life that ended too soon.

I am more than grateful and honored to have so many memories of friendship with Jack, aka Captain Jacques. Whether Jack was captain of of his canal boat in Amsterdam or of ours in Canal du MIDI there was always laughter. Jack was the `go to´ person for planning any adventure, be it close to home or far away places. I am so fortunate to have traveled with Jack and Emily to some great places where we shared a love of exploring and learning about history, as well as a love of great wine and great food. These times together have provided me with great memories, memories that I am clutching tightly to my heart and will never let go of. Jack was truly a renaissance man! Thank you Captain Jacques for more than you know.
