Jack Albert Guggenheim

I was happy to know Jack and his wife Barb through my father (George Hufford) who was part of a group that would meet at Wyoming Pastry Shop in the mornings for many years. I remember he was always kind and full of humor even as Alzheimers was progressing. He certainly had an incredible life.

At tennis- every years when my son was under the age of 12- Jack would grab him and off they would disappear for an hour or so. He was taking my son into the locker-rooms and with him courtside to get pictures. Every year my son looked forward to spending his time with Mr. G. They would look for each other every year and off they would go. What an amazing memory.

I remember back in the 80's running into Jack and his mother at brunch (Jeckyl's Hyde Park). It seems he took her to brunch each Sunday. I spoke to them (he didn't really "know" me, but our paths crossed at US Shoe) She was so proud of him and I always thought it was so special when I saw them out and about. RIP to a gentleman and wonderful son.

Jack and worked together, with Joe Brefeld and Bob Stix, for many good years. Jack was always a good friend and a gentleman.
