Jack HO Obituary
October 20, 1937 - July 19, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack C. Ho of Vancouver, BC, surrounded by his family. He was born in Yanping, China to Ho See Jan and Ho (nee Yan) Lan Gang. He came to Canada in 1949 and attended Vancouver Technical High School and Vancouver Vocational Institute, and began working as a chef. He transitioned into public service which culminated in a 30-year career with Canada Post. In 2012, he was recognized for his many years of volunteer work and community service and received the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal. He is survived by his children, Judy (Bailey) and Justin. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 30 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. with interment to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

I had the pleasure of working with Jack for many years. He was a man of principle, dedicated to his work, fellow workers and friends. Even in difficult times, Jack stood for what he felt was right while maintaining a great sense of humour. My condolences to his family. Jack was a good man and will be missed.

I worked with Jack at Canada Post back in the '80s and remember him with great fondness. He was knowledgeable, supportive and always had a great sense of fun. I am saddened to hear of his passing. May I extend my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
