My sympathy goes out to Pat, Mark, Kurt and their families. Mr Noll was a wonderful principal whom I held in high esteem. In 1972 when our field hockey team won the York County championship some of the team members escorted him down the hallway and threw him into the shower-not many people would believe that, but there is a photo to prove it! He was a good sport about it and showed his fun-loving side.

Mr. Noll was a good role model for the students and was respected by the faculty. He shall be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Noll family during this difficult time. I will always remember Mr. Noll as being a wonderful role model, and a principal with leadership qualities which were second to none. His demeanor was the glue which held Spring Grove High School together. He was well respected by everyone, students and faculty alike. He was a wonderful man, and a great neighbor. May you find comfort in knowing how many lives that your husband, and father impacted duuring his earthly journey. He left behind, a legacy, which will live on for many, many years to come. Rest in Peace Mr. Noll

Mr Noll was a serious man whose unflappable demeanor concealed a wonderful sense of humor. He needed it, to be a Principal at Spring Grove for all those years! His standard genial saying "There is a time and a place for everything" was usually followed by an unblinking direct look and a slightly menacing "And this is neither the time nor the place". I usually heard him say this when he would discover overly-amorous students in the hallways on their way to class.

He was a stable force in a high school students life, which may not have been stable to begin with, and he helped a lot of students. He seemed 11 feet tall and always seemed to be wearing a suit no matter where you would run into him.

A neighbor once told me she saw him washing his car one summer and said his arms were covered with tattoos, which I now assume came from his military service. However, the rumor started that he used to be in a motorcycle gang, which only added to his allure as a high school principle that you did NOT want to aggravate.

He was an institution in Spring Grove, and I am glad to hear that somehow he managed to fit a full life into an already busy work and family schedule. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Noll. It's been many years (decades) since I have been through Spring Grove, but I have fond memories of your family. Mr. Noll was a great Principal (Class of '79), and a good neighbor. He was always fair and students respected him. I pray God will bless you and comfort you, Mark and Kurt (and their families).

On behalf of the Central Penn Region of the Cadillac & LaSalle Club, as well as Shelley and myself, we send our condolences to Pat and the family. Jack was a fine gentleman and a valued friend, and we will miss him greatly. I was privileged to know Jack and Pat through the antique automobile hobby, and our mutual interest in the Cadillac & LaSalle Club, of which Jack served as a National Director. Jack's good judgment, clear thinking and integrity always caused others to seek his opinion about any question that might arise. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Noll family at this difficult time.

Dear Noll Family, I am very sorry for your loss. Mr Noll was a big part of our lives at a time we when we needed someone one our side. At the time we did not know it was Mr Noll but as adults and look back on the things he brought into our lives we are very lucky. Thanks for everything you did for us as students and as a member of our community. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Noll hired me to teach Biology and he left quite an impression on me. He was always firm, fair, and consistent in dealing with both students and staff and was well respected. My sympathies to the family.

My sympathy to the Noll family. Mr. Jack Noll has left quite an impression in my life. He was my High School Pricipal at Spring Grove. "There is a time and a place for everything". A statement I heard from him many times and has stuck with me. A man with a lot of class. He reminded me of my Grandfather.
