Jack Thomas Parr

Lenoir City - Jack Thomas Parr, age 95 of Lenoir City, Tennessee passed away peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2024. Jack was born on September 9, 1928 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He moved his family to Lenoir City in 1962 to begin working at the Oak Ridge Plants. His skills with machinery allowed him to be a part of some incredible projects throughout his career and ultimately enabled him to open and operate Parr Tool Company for 17 years with his son, Ronnie Parr. He valued a strong work ethic paired with living a quiet life. He loved nothing more than his family and was a devoted husband, father, papaw, and "big papaw. Preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Wilma Jones Parr; son, Ronnie Parr; his parents, Elmer Parr and Phila Ettinger Parr; his brother, William Parr. Survivors include his daughter, Pam Breazeale (Don); daughter in law, Patricia Parr; grandchildren: Adam Breazeale, Jason Breazeale (Tiffany), Amanda Chandler (Tyler), Robert Parr and Elizabeth Cannon (Chris); great grandchildren: Carter Breazeale, Johnny Breazeale, Arthur Breazeale, Jenna Chandler, William Chandler, Elliott Cannon and Parker Cannon. The family would like to thank Morning Pointe of Lenoir City and Grace Home Care Manor of Farragut for their exceptional care and support. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Lakeview Cemetery in Lenoir City for graveside services with Rev. Steve Kirby officiating.
