Thank you for your music, it really got me through hard times and has made me a better bass player. We all will miss you. Until next time.

We had a chance to meet a few times and always a true gentleman.. you will be missed my man.. rest my friend rest!!

One of the greatest vocalist of all time, he was truly my hero, definitely a shot in the dark

Jack and I met in 1988 in Cabo San Lucas. We were both heading toward Senor Sushi's and just started talking. a few hours later and a number of drinks in, we were laughing and having a blast. I saw Jack again in San Diego at a show with Tesla. he came up with that big Jack smile and put his arm around me. Some 34 years later, I found out he was gonna be in Salt Lake City. I had no idea that would be the last time I would see him. Jack was one of those guys I thought would outlive us all. As I sit here typing this, I'm thinking about the profound effect meeting Jack had on my life, how I never forgot meeting him and how I'm better for knowing him.

It seems Jack had that effect on just about everyone he met. I am forever grateful for have him as a friend.

Cut my teeth on Great White while learning to play guitar, so many hours and memories, seeing them in 1990 in Halifax Canada opening for Alice Cooper, and an enduring love for his voice and that band. Rest easy Mr.Russell

Prayers sent to Jack's family and friends. I'm so sorry to hear of Jack passing. I am practicing vocals and worked my way up to a voice comparable to Jack. Had been my influence on my singing and finally at the age of 50 can reach his key. RIP Jack. You were a great singer writter.

I did not personally know him ! But he was one of my rock idols . I met him half dozen times , he was always awesome and was downed to earth . The music , the voice and yes the legend !! I feel like my best friend died !

I knew Jack long before he was famous! We went to Starbucks Jr High together and then Lowell High school until he got booted
I lived a couple of blocks from Jack and I was the one who made sure he was awake for band practice. I believe this was summers of 74 & 75. Jack use to sing Once Bitten back then. He called me his little wall flower back then!

Many years later our paths crossed and I booked all his Great White and his solo tour in Washington and Oregon. We stayed in touch after I retired. He was source to be reckoned with. Loved your band, your voice, your songs, your videos...the girls you put IN your videos...Ha! Ha! Ha! But you were just an amazing musician and songwriter in your own right and I've been a huge fan since childhood and still listen to records today. When I say friend, it may sound odd, but his love for his fans was apparent in every show he performed, where he gave it his all, every single night! I saw Jack perform many times over the years and attended every show I could as his music touched my soul. We will miss you Jack. God bless you.

Saw Jack many times at the Blue Note in Harrison, Ohio. Many many years ago I worked at the Garfield House hotel. They came in town for a concert. They were the warm-up band for the scorpions. I got to meet Jack and we got tickets to the show and was one of the best concerts I ever went to . This black He was one of the best. Will definitely miss you but you'll always be in our hearts!

I saw Jack when I was in the studio for the recording of That Metal Show in 2012. He was very gracious and it was great hearing him talk about his life and spike about his illness and how grateful he was at that time for his wife s help caring for him. Great singer, great band. RIP

I became a fan of Great White, back in 1987, when I was a Junior in High School. I have seen great White many times after that and wekl into my College years.

I met Jack and the rest of the Guys in Great White, many, many times after Concerts. Everyone in Great White was very kind, always willing to sign Autographs and take Pictures. They really appreciated the Fans of Great White and they all had their Feet planted on the Ground. Jack was always kind, amazing, talkative, humble and humorous and we would talk for hours and joke around in our conversations. They don't make them like that anymore.

Peace be with you Jack. Thank you for the great Music and the unforgettable Memories that you and the rest of the guys in Great White, gave to me as a person and a Fan.

Rest in peace and we will see you again, on the other side, when my Ship comes in.

Got to talk to Mark and Jack a few times at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ ...super nice guys and a vastly underrated band their song catalog is amazing and far superior to just about everyone else . Jack´s voice was beautiful and so unique one of the best ever for sure. God Bless You Jack

This has been so so sad..I've followed Jack for years that's all I play is his music. I haven't stopped crying from the day he announced hus retirememt..there's a big hole in the music industry..but I can bet you him and Eddie are rocking the heavens!! You'll never be forgotten and your music will Rock On forever..much love and condolences to his wife son family and friends..we love you Captain Jack. RIP and no more pain..

I met Jack and the rest of the band on the 1996 Let it Rock tour. He signed the cd cover this memory will live with me forever RIP Jack

I can say I knew Jack and that he never forgot where he and the band started. They would play at "The Woodstock" in Anaheim and afterwards go to Carls Jr where I worked and made their meals were discounted. Even years later when me and my friends went to see them play at HOB Hollywood, Jack remebered me and gave me a big hug. Jack was the sweetest and most down to earth person that I knew. RIP Jack.

Great rock band, I've remembered there most inonic songs, I couldn't believe that Jack Russell passed away. In the 1980s they were a lot of love songs one was great white rip Jack Russell stay young keep sailing into the summer sunset every year your never forgotten.

Starbuck Jr High, white tee shirt, jeans, puka shell necklace chain and a guitar. Stairway to Heaven was the song of choice in class. That is the Jack I remember. Was sad to hear he had passed but I know he is no longer in pain.

I´ve been a fan since Dante Fox days. Here´s a cute story.... When I introduced my current boyfriend to the music, we went to see JRGW. Jack made himself available to everyone. He loved everyone. My BF talked with Jack and then I saw him take out his ID... what the heck?... My BF was proving to Jack that his first and middle name was Jack Russell! Jack then grabbed me and put me between himself and my BF, saying "Have a Jack Russell Sandwich!" I got a photo somewhere on my computer. I´ve met Jack many times over the years, met his wife a few times. He will be missed. I know he must have been greeted in Rock and Roll Heaven by Jani. I will treasure all the memories forever. One day I will be watching that hell of a band perform! Here is a photo from 2017, less than 24 hours after a surgery, went to Denver to see JRGW and I won the signed guitar!

I had the pleasure of knowing Jack. He was a true inspiration.
In the 90s we partied at The Rain tree, cat house Red Onion Redondo beach.
Redondo harbor was his home fir many years.
Then around 2018 He and his wife joined and were baptized in our Chruch. The Church of Jesus Crist of latter Day Saints.
He was always a kind and gentle Man. With a angel voice.
