Jack Schubbe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 27, 2025.
Organ - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Jack. Warren. George. Schubbe, who left us on October 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Butler; father, Jack Schubbe; recently departed sister, Cheryl Ann Schubbe; and his adored family dog, Emma. Jack leaves behind the burdens of this world to return to the family he loved beyond measure.

Jack was born on September 3, 1969, in Sacramento, California. After graduating from Mayfield High School, he honored his father by following him and joining the Air Force, proudly serving his country. Confident, intelligent, and charismatic, Jack went on to accomplish great feats in life. He built a successful career in Retail Management in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before returning home to Organ, where he became a proud alumnus of New Mexico State University, earning his bachelor's degree in criminal justice.

A hard-working and selfless man, Jack never let life pass him by. He was always ready to take on the world for his loved ones, friends, and even strangers. Jack embodied true kindness, constantly acting from the goodness of his heart. Whether listening to a friend in need or helping find a solution to someone's problem, Jack enriched the lives of everyone he encountered with grace and compassion. He never sought recognition, acting only from the boundless generosity of his soul.

An authentic socialite, Jack enjoyed dancing, traveling, and gambling with his loved ones and friends. He was always ready to lead the way to the next adventure, all while cherishing the bonds he created along the way. Jack was a perfect reminder that one should never judge a book by its cover. To know him was to understand true humility and the heart of a humanitarian of God. He was a devoted partner, brother, friend, and mentor - and words cannot express how deeply he will be missed and revered.

Jack is survived by his beloved life partner of 15 years, Joseph Balderas, and their treasured family dog, Monroe of Organ; sister Jackie Jacobs of Ruidoso; sister Denise Schubbe of Las Cruces; sister Lori Torres of Las Cruces; and his many loved nieces and nephews.

At his request, cremation will take place, and no services are scheduled at this time. Anyone who wishes to commemorate Jack's memory is encouraged to do so by honoring him through living - embracing life to its fullest potential, just as Jack did and taught others to do.

My friend, from our early teen shenanigans, till early this month and the long conversation. Everything in between, laughter and tears. I can't remember when you weren't here. You've gotten your wings and are free to explore the beyond. Thank you for you for the joy, love and memories. You will be in my heart always. Al wanted to let you know that the chess pie won't be waisted. We'll see each other again, no pains or worries.

To my "cosmic bro",

I love you with every beat of my heart.
I miss the comfort of your hugs when the world feels too heavy,
the warmth of your smile,
the sound of your voice,
and the light you brought into every moment.

Thank you for building such a beautiful life with me,
for the lessons you shared,
and for loving and accepting me exactly as I am.
Because of you, I understand what it means
to love fully and to be loved without condition.

Our memories are treasures I´ll carry forever.
Though I can´t rush to join you just yet,
I´ll honor you by giving Monroe the best life-
for both of us.

Until the stars align and we meet again.

With endless love,
J.E.B.
