I only knew Jack online—I'm another writer whom he befriended and supported. In all his interactions, he was positive, but not blindly so; he seemed to see the world clearly but from a perspective of true, loving kindness—a genuine, benevolent soul.

My sympathies to his loved ones.

He was a true gentleman.

I am so sorry to hear Jack is gone. I only know him in the virtual world, but he was such a bright light to us writers. He was always so kind and effusive in his encouragement. Such a generous spirit! He leaves much good behind him and an example to follow.

I never met Jack in person, but I will miss him just the same. He was an amazing supporter of numerous author friends, and I'm very sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family and close friends.

I met Jack online years ago when he sent me an email about a story I'd written. We became online friends, with Jack being a regular visitor on my blog and on a blog for a network of writers. Jack was one of our guest posters... he was a friend, a fan, a supporter, an animal lover and I never knew I could grieve so much for someone I've never met in person. May all of his kindness and love shine on in the world.

Mary Jane.....I am so sorry to hear of Jackie's death. He was much too young to be taken away. I have such fond memories of when we were kids and he would play with all of us in the yard.
It seems so long since I've seen him or you. Just know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Although we moved away from Louisville a number of years ago, we always liked and respected Jack. He was a great friend, always willing to lend a helping hand.

Susan, please accept our sympathy and prayers.

Jack was a good and kind man; wonderful in his imagination and gifted with a gentle spirit. He had an ability to charm and delight all with his storytelling, and the patience to endure all of the obstacles that life placed before him. We love Jack and wish him the safest journey to his last great adventure... smooth sailing, my friend.
