Uncle George, Jackie, Barbara and Gina!
It is my prayer that God's peace that surpasses all understanding will engulf you and remind you that He is ever present! Aunt Shine will be truly missed! I am thankful that we had the chance to have some great conversations these last few months that were filled with great wisdom. She prayed with me and for me and I so appreciate that. It is amazing how she could really fuss at you and then love on you all at the same time! I think that was the Grant side!:) I'm praying that you four will be strong and carry on all the love she has shown! We love you!

Papa George, Barbara, Jacqueline, Gina and all the wonderful Burnett family. Words simply are not enough to tell you how my heart hurts for all of us with Jackie's homegoing. She was one of a kind, and was a wonderful example of unconditional love in so many ways. She made me laugh till I cried, then cried with me when I needed consoling. She never gave up and she never stopped believing that anything was possible with God. George you and Jackie have been my mom and dad in so many ways. I learned an awful lot of life lessons because of your examples. I hope I can be half the woman that Shine was when the Lord calls me home. Her legacy tells it all...she loved everyone and was loved by everyone she met. I will miss her terribly, but I KNOW she is happy, and whole and waiting for us. In the meantime, we are here for you all. I love you!

Brother George & Family:
We share in your loss, Jackie & you were so instrumental in getting us involved with CMA & Fellowship Bible Church, we love all of you. Both Gwen & I will forever cherish the memories of you & Jackie standing with us in prayer during the trying times & relish the moments of joy we were able to share together. Jackie was the driving force behind the creation of our Bikers Small Group and she really enjoyed being in the center of God's will for her life and it showed, even in her nickname "Shine".
What is now our loss, has become heavens gain. Jackie is probably up there right now rearranging the angelic choir to make them sound even more beautiful.
We will all miss Jackies' hugs, but someday we will be able to receive them again. In Jackies own words "Thank you Jesus". (Which was also one of her trademark ways of showing appreciation to her Lord & Savior).
In our hearts & in our prayers:

Words can not express the sorry for the loss of such a wonderful, kind, caring person as was Miss Jackie. Both she and George took us under their wings when we joined CMA. We have so many wonderful memories camping and riding with her. "Shine" was such a great name for a lady that did indeed Shine. Just by looking at her you knew she loved the Lord. Gary and I were talking the other day and he said that his best memory of Ms Jackie is her singing and singing and singing that year we went to Leakey. We could listen to her sing all night long. George, Barbara and Jacqueline...remember that she is now reaping the rewards for all the years she "Shined" for the Lord. Our prayers and thoughts are with each one of you.

MY HEART ACHES FOR the family of Mrs. Burnett. COUSIN (Atra Mae Mitchell) DR. JACQUELINE BURNETT. MR. COLONEL GEORGE BURNETT both were some of my favorite and colorful instructors when I was in high school. I last saw you all at the chicken place a couple of years back. You all looked so happy then and Ms. Burnett, I know you were close to your mother and Mr. Burnett, I know your wife brought you so much joy and good memories. I am so sorry to hear that a void in your life has been rendered, but remember God never gives us more than we can bear. If he knew you could not bear this burden, it would not have been delivered to you. TO COLONEL BURNETT--Please know you are being prayed for. I hope that you will have the love of the rest of your family to help you through this time. TO MS. BURNETT (Dr. Jacqueline)--Remember the good times and I'm sure there were many and may God continue to Bless and Keep You.
