I was deeply saddened to hear of J.R.'s passing. I have many fond memories of him beginning in elementary and all through high school. We shared many classes and many more laughs. Although it's been several years since I saw him last I still feel the strong bond that only longtime classmates can share. I know he's with Cliff and together they are filling Heaven with laughter. J.R. will always be remembered and hold a special place in my heart. My prayers are with you all along with my deepest sympathies.

Dedra,
I'm so sorry we cannot be there to honor your Dad during this difficult time for you. I will always remember your J.R. with fond memories. His kids were everything to him and it
was evident every time he spoke about each of you. Please know that you are thought of at this time and your entire family is in our prayers. May it be helpful to know that he is finally at peace and can now be with his best buddy from childhood, Cliff Dudley. The two of them were a great pair and each were taken from this earth too early.
My deepest sympathy,
Amy Dowler Clouser

I was lucky enough to meet JR in 7th grade home room class when they seated us alpa sytle. He was a great friend and helped me out many times but especially when I was trying to figure out his buddy Cliff. Time seems to move many of us apart but the memories of good friends always remain. I am deeply sorry for your loss. His time here was far too short. Deepest Sympathy~

Dear family of J.R.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My name is Tim Davies. My family owned a restaurant in Elwood called Davies Snack Bar and I attended Oakland School. I would have graduated with J.R. but my family moved to Peru Indiana my 6th grade year. It's sad to lose touch with your childhood friends and even sadder when you are filling out a guest book for their funeral. I remember J.R. fondly he was a great dodge ball player and very athletic back in elementary school. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.
Sincerely
Melinda Heazeltine

Dear Jack and Karen, we are so sorry to hear of J.R.'s passing. I(Julie Stevens-Bynum) went to school with him and we always had good things to laugh about. That is what I remember most. I(Mary-Mrs. Jerry) Stevens remember him most when he visited the fire barn. It is difficult to lose a loved one, especially a child. I know Jack, you were there when Jerry and I lost our son. May you all gain strength just knowing he is in a better place.

Jack, Karen, and family,
Sorry to hear of your loss. JR and I had not kept in contact for many years but I have great memories of playing basketball in your driveway for hours on end. I also remember the first curveball I ever saw was from JR's right hand. I hope this finds you doing well during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Chip Morris

Dedra, Darcie and Lynn,
I am sending all three of you a big hug and want you to know that I know how hard it is to lose someone so dear to your heart, that you love like no other. You will be in my prayers and if you need anything you know you can count on me. I have lots of memories of JR and when we worked at the Ford Garage in Elwood. What a blessing that he was able to go be with God on this very special weekend to rejoice in the reserrection of our Lord. He was very special to be blessed with such an honor! Peace be with him.
Love you guys!
