Jackie McClenahan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 9, 2025.
Jackie "Jack" Lee McClenahan, born on April 14, 1944, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon McClenahan, and his siblings Dana McClenahan, Donna McClenahan, and Sandy McClenahan.

Jack is survived by his two daughters, Angela De St. Jeor and Marcia McClenahan. His legacy lives on through his six grandchildren: Ricky McClenahan, Bryana McClenahan, Gus De St. Jeor, Gordy De St. Jeor, Gil Jack De St. Jeor, and Gates De St. Jeor, as well as his two great-grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings Chris Godier, Ronald McClenahan, Renee Gloeckner, and Linda Meyers.

Jack was the patriarch of his family, a hard worker who could always be counted on to lend a hand or offer wise guidance. An entrepreneur at heart, Jack was a man who was always looking for opportunities and new ways to make things better. He found joy in the simple things and maintained positivity, no matter what life threw his way.

Jack had a lifetime love for antique cars, a passion that filled him with pride and joy. He spent many happy hours restoring classic cars, attending car shows, and sharing his enthusiasm with others. His knowledge of vintage automobiles was vast, and his love for them was a defining part of who he was. Beyond his love for cars, Jack admired the timeless beauty of Marilyn Monroe, was an avid collector of coins and stamps, and loved to build things. Above all, Jack cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held to honor Jack's memory.

Rest in peace, Jack. Your love & laughter will be missed, and your legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew you.

Jack and I were great friends since the early 1950´s he lived in the 400 block of N 4th and I lived in the 500 block of N 3rd in Dupo, Il. We were classmates through High School at DCHS Class of 1962. We had many neighborhood, teen town, high school and beyond good times together! We will miss him very much at our class of 62 get togethers. Rest in Peace my friend!
