Jackie Mechan Lish Werner

Jackie Mecham Lish Werner, 57, of Eden, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 in Utah after a heroic battle with Cancer.

Jackie Mecham was born to Eldon & Glenda Mecham in Burley Idaho on May 29, 1958. She was the oldest child; sister to Peggy and Scott. She was raised in Heyburn and graduated from Minico High School in 1976. She married Jerry Lish in 1977 and had a daughter, Summer Lish, and son, Dylan Lish. She and Jerry quickly divorced. In 1987 she met and married the love of her life Darren Werner. They were married 28 years until her death. To this union she had two sons, Joshua & Jacob Werner.

Jackie worked most of her life for Ed Uhlig, whom she felt gave her a good part of her life. She worked for various other farmers, part time at the Eden Post Office, and later served as the City of Eden clerk.

Her biggest accomplishment in life was her children. She often told them that they were a reflection of her and that is why she pushed on them the way she did. They all did her very proud. They grew up to be responsible, strong, good and loving people and she could want no more.

Jackie is survived by her husband Darren, her precious children, Summer Howard of Twin Falls, ID, Dylan (Dondi) Lish and grandson Grady Lish of Eagle River, AK; Joshua (Ruthie) Werner of Hayden, ID; Jacob Werner (Cassie) and grandson Hayden Werner of Hazelton, ID. She is also survived by her mother, Glenda Mecham of Heyburn, ID, Sister Peggy (John) Todd of Twin Falls, ID and children Monica, Andy, Rocky and Janie, brother Scott (Sharon) Mecham of Heyburn, ID and children Misty, Kimmie, and Mandy. She was preceded in death by her father, Eldon D. Mecham in 2013.

Jackie loved her life's work of bookkeeping. She liked challenges and learning new things. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, cross words, and keeping things neat. She also liked to drink a few beers while sitting around a campfire or playing pool. She was also blessed, finally, with two grandchildren, which she adored more than anything.

A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, 2466 Addison Ave. East, Twin Falls. A reception will follow at the Stonehouse. Services are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel, Twin Falls.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be given in Jackie's name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, 2000 Circle of Hope Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84112.
