My dear friend "Jackson" would call me when the purchase orders from Bombay or Pier 1 would hit his fax machine....he loved the sound that fax machine made and we would chat a laugh! I'm told, that some of his dear offspring can thank me for their college educations!! Money was well spent, he was so proud of his children!!
He was the most sincere and dearest of all my business partnerships, always engaged, ethical in his dealings, helpful, responsive, funny and always up for an enchilada! His dear Ellen holds a special place in my heart too, as she was the yin to his yang! Funny, bright, and with a few margaritas the most charming woman in the universe!
Jackson enriched my life as he did yours. For now, I will miss him, but in time we'll share another enchilada!

I grew up 3 houses away from Jackie Don- We did it all- football, baseball, basketball, ping pong, dominoes. He was catcher and I pitched little league team (Yankees). I tried to teach him how to hit a golf ball- didn´t work- he ended up with 3 or 4 stitches above his eye- whoops it wasn´t on purpose. We even managed to sink a boat one summer - sorry Ellen. I was fortunate enough to visit Jackie Don and Ellen at their lake house a few years ago- what a great place! My thoughts and prayers go out to all his loved ones- he was the best.
Your friend,
Stick Newland

I´m heartbroken to hear this news. Mr. Williams had such a warm, joyful presence-being around him always brought a smile to my face. He reminded me so much of my own father, and I´ll always be grateful that I got to meet him. His kindness, humor, and light will never be forgotten. Ashley, my heart is with you and your family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, and I´m sending you the biggest, most loving hugs from Prosper.

Uncle Jack was a legend. Fond memories at The River throwing a football before Thanksgiving lunch, or yelling "C'mon Emmitt" as Dallas tried to win. He loved sports and helped others love sports as well. He was kind, caring, and even went to my final high school football game at Texas stadium in Irving to watch us get beat by Plano High 22-2, and my few minutes of playing time limited only after a loss was all but certain.
Jack, Ellen, and their family graciously hosted me for 3 months in the summer of 2003 at their Plano home while I was in grad school and interning at a Dallas company. Great memories that summer as I got to know Jack better as an adult - and of course watching the Mavs try to beat the Spurs in the semis. "C'mon Emmitt" turned into "C'mon Dirk!"
Jack was always someone I admired for his character, generosity, enthusiasm, and encouragement. And I'll miss him. Much love, Matt, Amber, Max, and Beckett.

Grew up with Jackie Don in a great small town setting. He was everybody´s friend, and he made each classmate feel he was glad to see you. He always smiled when he talked. He was a good guy! May God bless and comfort his Ellen and the rest of his family. We do not grieve like those who have no hope.

I respected and enjoyed knowing Jack despite his choice of sports teams. He calmly told me recently he was ready to go and had had a good ride. He blessed my life.

So many "Jackie Don" memories are flooding me this morning...always meeting me with clever jabs when I went into McDonalds Dept. Store, his 'big ol' playful good nature, football, class projects, class favorite...he was a good friend and bright light throughout our school years. I'm sure Jesus is smiling and saying, " job well done!" I was blessed to know him.

Jackie Don was always ready for....life. Ready to party and cheer on the Bears. And did it with the biggest smile I have ever seen. Baylor just lost its biggest fan. JD... cheers to you my friend.
