Family, friends, and loved ones; my name is Jenna Parks and I met Jackson my senior year of college. My best friend Lauren and I lived in the apartment across from Jackson, Brendan, Rob, and Andrew. Little did we know how strong the bond between 2 gals and 4 guys would become. It has left me completely heartbroken that I cannot be there for the Memorial to help my friends, Emily, and Jacksons family during this tragic time. Although it is effecting me greatly that I was not there, I cant stop hearing Jacksons voice in my head saying, oh youre working? Good you should be, you work for AMERICA!
That sense of humor Jackson had will make me smile even on a day when all I wanted to do was cry. I just closed my eyes and remember a joke, an impression, a funny photo, and every happy memory I was able to share with Jackson.
Strength, wisdom, courage. All words you hear when someone is describing a good man. Jackson was all those things, but Jackson was not just a good man, he was a great man. He had a strong love for the people in his life, and this was a lot because Jackson was was never afraid to say hello and make a new friend. Even when Lauren and I met Jackson for the first time, he treated us like we weve known him for years. At his graduation party, it was clear where he got this great quality. Every member of the Greene family made us feel like we were at home. Their generosity, hospitality, and overwhelming love made for a very special day.
Jackson was a man who always fulfilled his goals and pushed himself to do better every day. Brendan, Rob, Andrew, Lauren, and Austen, this is what Jackson wants for us. He is now the shining star looking down on us and making us feel confident enough to fulfill our own goals and dreams and never have doubt in ourselves.
Emily, we havent had the chance to meet, but I know without a doubt that Jacksons love for you was strong and every great memory you shared, will never be forgotten. Losing the one you love can be the hardest event to happen in your life, but Jackson would have wanted you to live life to the fullest and be the absolute best you can be and already are. He will shine brightly for you in the night sky.
I end with this poem that I hope will give everyone here just a little strength to get through the coming days.
We sit around and wonder
and watch the days go by.
we look at all the pictures
and ask, why did you have to die?
You've always been there for us,
because you were our best friend,
and we were was always there for you
until the very end.
But now it's time to let you go.
Your spirit now is free,
even though you won't really be gone,
because you'll live inside of the.
So when we have to leave you
at your resting place,
we will always remember
your smiling, beautiful face.
This is hardly a goodbye,
so we won't weep anymore,
because now you're in better place
than you ever were before.
Even though we will miss you,
and well think about you every day,
you'll always be our friend,
and that's all we have to say.
All my love,
Jenna

Jackson was a great guy and fine student. I am very sorry to hear this tragic news and wish he had the opportunity to live a longer life. I enjoyed having him in class and know he will be missed by so many classmates, friends and family members. My prayers go out to both him and his family. Sincerely, Russ Sigeti
