I want you to know how much Jacob was admired by everyone around him. I was his Honors Algebra 2 teacher when he was a sophomore and he touched my life. He worked so hard to make great grades with a smile on his face and encouraged everyone in the class to do the same. Unfortunately, I left Haltom the next year and lost track of him but his smile and attitude reminded me everyday of why I do this job. You raised a beautiful boy and my heart breaks for your loss. My prayers are with you for comfort and understanding.

One of the most whole hearted , humble, and down to earth person I ever met. You don't meet to many people like that now of days. Also strong minded , he never let what he was going through make or break him. He'd be out on the court playing basketball like he was 100% he reminded me of Kobe as in just being strong and not letting anything stop him. I love you bro . Rest in easy in paradise ! Jay, every morning you would meet me at the buff store an we would talk about different things an order the normal. Your grandma cookies & tea and I would always get hot chips and a tea . I can remember it like it was yesterday I was so upset for some reason and you stopped me and said " everything is temporary just keep your head up Curly " I remember you posting a tweet saying " Always grateful for what I got " and you simply inspired me ! You will be truly missed Jay Jay.

Still to this day, it still hasn't sunk in that you're gone. Maaaaannn jacob you were the chillest one out of the haltom group of guys. Always positive and relaxed. Any advice or problems I had I'd come to you and you'd give me your most honest and helpful feedback. I remember the laughs we had at work and how you'd tell me I was crazy at times. Well now you aren't in pain anymore. You are at peace and I hope you know that all of us loved you and you will honestly will be missed! Fly high <3

Jacob was there for me and everyone else I knew, always. It didn't take long for you to be around him and realize how kind and big hearted he was. When I think of him all I remember is his positivity he had for not only himself but spread to everyone around him no matter what the situation was. He was the first person i met when i moved to the U.S a long with Joseph i can't explain what they became to mean im my life, Jacob was an amazing person always in a good positive attittude and always wanting to change your day till this day i can't understand why so soon but i thank god for allowing me to spend the time i did with him and all the memories that i will forever cherish and i will never forget that cocky smirk! Jacob was a huge influence on my life. Speaking with Jacob always helped me and motivated me to push through any obstacle I had in life. He was my brother he was family to me without a doubt.
