JACOB T.
Age 40, in Lafayette, CO, formerly of Moon Twp. Beloved son of Elizabeth (Moss) Nicholson and the late Richard Nicholson; dear brother of R. Aaron, Kate and Jesse-Burton Nicholson; uncle of R. Jarod Nicholson; nephew of Michael and Carol (Cost) Moss, Alice (Clark) and Jerry Donohoe, Carl, Tom (Diane), Claire and Joan Nicholson of Boise, ID; plus many cousins. Jacob was an intelligent young man, gifted in art and music. he pursued learning and knowledge for its own sake and always followed in his own path. Though a man of few words, he had a quick wit that kept us laughing. He graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he studied animation and from the University of Washington with degrees in computer science and math. He worked a number of years animating computer games in Seattle for Valve Corporation. He is remembered for his sense of humor, his curiosity and the selflessness with which he cared for his father prior to his father's death in 2006. Oh Jake, we will miss you. Friends welcome Tuesday 4 p.m. until time of Remembrance Service at 6:30 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 15220, 412-563-2800. Nicholson Family,
My deepest sympathies to you all. I grew up with Jake from the Allard days on. He was a very funny, intelligent, caring, talented man. I knew from a young age that he would go on to do something in art. Extremely creative. His smile and quick wit humor was two of his greatest qualities that made him who he was. I am saddened by his passing and also that I could not attend his funeral today. I was there in spirit. God bless you all and prayers for your family in days to come. I am happy that Jake was part of my childhood into my adult life and I will forever keep his memory at heart! My condolences!!
