Jacob Tristan Ruff, age 27 of Forest City passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Jacob was born on December 18, 1995 at Rutherford Regional Health System.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Dana Pritchard and husband, Brian of Forest City; his father, Jason Ruff and wife, Christy, of Wake Forest; his siblings Bree Pritchard, Landon Pritchard, Madison Ruff and Blythe Ruff; his grandparents Daniel and Doris Dills of Forest City, Steve and Doris Duncan of Forest City, Jack and Debi Ruff of Bonneau Beach, SC, Jamie and Remona Glover of Rutherfordton and Darryl and Libby Cheshire of Forest City; his uncles and aunts, Mike and Libby Smith, James and Megan Rumfelt and Lee and Jill Hopper; his cousins, Ross Terry, Daniel Terry, Chloe Rumfelt, Cameron Hopper and Reagan Hopper; his significant other, Jessica Lizio.
Jacob was a graduate of Western Carolina University earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Jacob was an Engineering Project Manager at SDS Mechanical and Automation in Inman, SC. He was an avid fisherman, loved to watch football, and enjoyed gardening. He loved spending time with his beloved family and his favorite dog, Atlas.
The funeral service will be held at 3 o’clock on Monday, June 26, 2023 at New Bethel Baptist Church, Forest City with the Reverend George Whitmire and Reverend Greg Qualls officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 o’clock on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Harrelson Funeral Home.
