Jay was a loyal and supportive friend. We will miss his kindness. Condolences to Ellen and family.

Although I think I only spoke to Jay once since our '83 biz school graduation, we sat beside each other in class on the top row for a good part of our first year. Jay was one of those erudite guys whose brilliance gave him plenty of bragging rights, but who never exercised them. He'd rather make his insights and logic known by expressing them as his solutions to the problems we all had to solve in the course of our studies. It was a privilege to have know him and learned from him. My prayers are for Ellen's solace and that of the many others who loved him.

I was one of Jay's classmates at Western, in Section 4, and for a time was also in his study group. A super nice guy, as well as talented and brainy. We were all proud of his achievements, and hoped to see him again at future reunions.
I'm very sorry to hear of another life cut short by this terrible disease, and extend my deepest sympathies to the family on this sad loss.

Ellen and Rose, I was so very sorry to hear about Jay's passing. I only met Jay a couple of times over the years but he seemed to be a very loving, gentle and kind person and I know you will miss him terribly. May you take solace in the memories you hold in your hearts.
