To the family of Coby Pulles,
I had the good fortune to meet Coby when she chose to reside at Abbeyfield House. She was a happy and content lady who enjoyed sharing humorous stories and teasing others.
Coby was an early riser to complete her daily life tasks before the sun rose, probably due to the many early mornings at the bakery. One nite I chose to spend the night in the staff room as I had stayed longer than intended due to office tasks. Prior to retiring I placed the portable vacuum in the staff room so I could enjoy sleep until at least 8:00 a.m. Coby laughed heartily when she discovered the new location for the vacuum while she waggled her finger at me.
When my husband stopped by to visit the residents, Coby and Walter delighted in teasing each other. No doubt she is entertaining all her new friends in her heavenly home.

Sincere condolences to all of you, Florence Graham

To the family of Coby, please accept our condolences on your loss. We got to know this remarkable woman in December of 2009. When Coby took up residence at Stensrud Lodge, she instantly became an angel on earth for our mother, Myrtle. When our father passed away December 21 of that year, Coby was introduced to Myrtle, and their neighborly jont across the hallway started a new bond amongst them. On our visits, she would walk over to say hello, chat a bit and then make her way back to her room. She had such a warm smile and friendly personality. When Myrtle passed in December 2010, it was such a pleasure to see Coby at the service, thank you for bringing her. I still visited with Coby for a short time after; our family was no longer there, but the joy she brought to others was not one that you could let slip away. She took pride in her family photos, stories and china cabinet treasures. Thank you for sharing your angel with us. In her memory and honor, I will go out and buy some timbits and lottery scratch tickets!

One of the worst colds that I've had in years kept me from attending the funeral of one of the only two Aunts I ever had and she will be deeply missed.

I will forever remember Aunty Coby's laugh and the enjoyment she had at playing cards, especially the time she tried to teach us how to play Joker, the Dutch rummy game. We still play the game at our local games club to this day and it will always remind me of her.

My thoughts are with the entire family and I wish everyone comfort and peace in this difficult time.
