Ms. McTigue was my art teacher at Glenburn from 5th-8th grade. She was always enthusiastic about what she did. She was the best art teacher I have ever had. She was inspiring and such a kind person. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Ms. McTigue during this difficult time. Her spirit and passion for art still thrives in the halls and hearts of many. She will be deeply missed.

I was deeply saddened when I heard of Jackie's passing. I worked with her in Jackman and came to know her as a friend. My three children were students of hers and really enjoyed being in the plays she directed. She was a very talented woman and had a wonderful way with children. Jackie will be missed terribly.

You encouraged me to never give up!

Jackie was a friend and mentor to me when we worked at Forest Hills School together. I looked up to Jackie and admired her greatly. It was in her class that my son, Matthew, discovered his love for art. She devoted many afternoons to helping him with extra projects after school. Jackie was a kind, caring teacher and friend and will remain in our hearts forever.

My thoughts and prayers to Jackie's family and friends. I worked at Glenburn School and my children went there until we relocated in December of 2011. We were all very saddened by the news. My youngest son, Tyler who is in 2nd grade, said "she taught me how to draw horses." Thinking of everyone affected.

May 30, 2012

Both of my boys were students of Jackie's at Glenburn School and were sad and shocked in hearing the news. I think my seven-year-old autistic son said it best, "she had a really nice voice and I will miss her." My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

It is hard to believe that such a wonderful person could be taken from this Earth so quickly without letting us have the ability to say good-bye. Not only was Jackie my home ec teacher, and later coworker at Forest Hills, she was my friend. It has been a while since I had a chance to sit and talk with her, but I had the great luck to bump into her during a visit to Glenburn Elementary a couple years ago.
Jackie, you touched more lives than you will ever know. You were loved by your students. Your professional cooking and child development classes changed my life and I truly thank you for that. Till we meet again someday; Rest in peace, my friend.

What a special Lady. I went throughout grade school with Jackie...though It has been many years since seeing her, she made an inpact on all that knew her with her sweet soul. No one has the answers but be sure she is, as she always was, an Angel. I am very sorry.
