Words cannot express how heavy our hearts are right now. We still remember the one and only time Jacqueline visited Gueydan,LA and met her cousins. We love you and miss you, even though we were not in touch very often. May God's peace and comfort sustain you through this most difficult time.

Jackie was my mentor while studying at Michigan. I was a first year architecture student and she was a grad student - the Chair introduced me to her. My confidence and knowing what I could accomplish at the school was boosted immediately. Over the past couple of years as a 30+ year old woman I would still reach out to her when dealing with difficult times in the office and she would take time to call me and listen and of course give me the best advice. We've been talking about what we can do to give back to help other black women in architecture succeed, but first she wanted me to get my license. So that's what I'm doing, Jackie. I have two more exams to pass and then I will continue being an examplary architect and mentor - as you were the best of those two things to me. May you Rest In Peace. Many condolences to your family.

So sorry for the loss of this beautiful lady. we worked together on the Maryland national harbor project for a few years, we sat together in the same trailer, where we worked on the project, then at the DC office at Gensler. She was so young and full of life. she was so dedicated to her job, and it was a pleasure to work with her.
