Jackie was one of those people who touched others lives with her friendliness. Who would have thought that summer hockey would have made lifelong friends. It was always great to chat with you every time we ran into you at the arena in the winter. To Vern & Chris & Marc - may her light always shine in your memories.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Vern and family. Many people touch our lives during the course of our travels. Jackie's inspiration, drive and a cup that was always more than "half full" was evident during our times at the U of A and beyond. It reminds us of something that we can all aspire to.

My thoughts go out to the family.
The Edmonton Nature Club will always remember her enthusiasm and keen organization when she set up the Snow Goose Festival. The club would not be sending inner-city school children out to Tofield every year but for Jackie`s enthusiasm.
This years Chase is dedicated to Jackie Kallal.

In her abscence we shall truly understand the contributions she made and the passion with which she applied herself everyday to making our community a better place. Her tireless efforts, throughout her long battle with cancer, are truly inspirational and she leaves a legacy of hard work, commitment and determination that shall not be forgotten. In remembering Jackie we acknowledge her loss but celebrate a life well lived in the service of many.
