RIP Jackie.

I came across this wonderful obituary for Jackie and was saddened by her passing. She lived next door to us in Winnetka. IL while I was in high school in the late 1960’s. I remember how vivacious and gracious she was. She even took the time to help me write my college application essay for Vassar, which I did attend. I have never forgotten her. I send my heartfelt condolences to her family. She will be greatly missed.

Beloved Presence on my path of life,
thank you for the footprints left on my heart:
the soft and gentle ones that brought comfort,
the deep and lasting ones of enduring friendship,
the lightly passing ones conveying kindness,
the heavy ones causing necessary change,
and the impressionable footprints swept away by time.
Even though lost, forgotten, or not recognized,
these visits have led me to live more fully
the innate goodness residing deep within me.
How grateful I am.

She was an enduring friend and always open to every one and all new people and experiences. She will forever be remembered for her knowledge of many subjects, her enthusiasm, her great curiosity, Her many interests, and her loving friends and family.
