Jacqueline B.R. Willette, 91, of Auburn, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 25, 2013 at Marshwood Nursing Center in Lewiston. She was born in Ham-Nord, Quebec on November 5, 1922, a daughter of the late Armand and Leontine (Deschenes) Morin. She moved to Sanford, Maine from Canada when she was only 6 months old. She grew up in that area and attended the Governor Baxter School for the Deaf in Portland. For most of her working years, Jacqueline worked as a stitcher for various shoe businesses in the area, one of which being Billen Shoe for 25 years. Jacqueline loved quilting, reading and spending quality time with her family. She loved her country and took her civic responsibilities very seriously. She also enjoyed visiting with her sisters, and will always be remembered for her devotion to the Red Sox, Bruins and watching High School Basketball. She is survived by her five children; Rose Keene and her partner Jim Walker of Auburn, Carrine Brunetti and her husband Jim of Lewiston, Glenn Willette and his wife Paula of Auburn, Annette and James Lavallee of Auburn, and Manzer Willette of Auburn. She also leaves behind seven siblings; Rita Rix, Doris Drouin, Madeline Fortier, Joseph Morin, Bernadette Morin, Mary Anna Morin and Mary Emma Morin; 9 grandchildren; Peter and Christian Keene, Angela Hubbard, Stephen Brunetti, Peggy (Gibbings) Gaumont, Bonnie Leclair, Sam Willette, Neiley Harris and Benjamin Lavallee, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Manzer Willette in 1986 and 11 siblings; Camille, Georgette,Thomas, Edouard, Phillip, Yvonne and Dominic Morin, Simone Jones, Theresa Tanguay, Germaine Melanson, and Elizabeth LeMay. A special thank you to the staff at Marshwood Nursing Center for the wonderful care and friendship extended to Jacqueline and her family. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday December 29, 2013 from 2-5pm at the funeral home in Auburn. A Liturgy of the Word Service will be celebrated on Monday December 30, 2013 at 11am also at the funeral home in Auburn. A committal service will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston. Those wishing, in lieu of flowers, may make a charitable contribution in Jacqueline's memory to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
