JACQUES "JACK" BROURMAN

It saddens me to hear of Jacque's passing. I am now especially thankful I was able to recently share with him how important he was to my life. His conception and creation of the Sun Valley Music Camp, which I attended seven seasons, was pivotal to myself and many others. A man of standards on the podium, he imparted love and discipline to all students as well as deep appreciation of performing arts. His passing is a loss to us all.

Maestro Brourman was instrumental, encouraging, tough, and compassionate in mentoring me along my path of music, and particularly the art of conducting. My prayers are with your family.

Jack and I were students together in the Carnegie Tech days. It never ceased to amaze me that a violinist of his artistry could put down the instrument and morph into a muscular standout on the gridiron. And I was so proud of his later accomplishments!

Uncle Jaques, You will be missed by all , I fortunately got to spend alot of time with you especially in Sun Valley the two summers I was your cook at Dollar mountain. In a really important time in my life you were so supportive. All the fishing, golf and laughter we had so much fun. Love you allways Richard Brourman
