JAMES A. EMERY

You will be missed my friend. You were a true mentor and a true friend. I learned so much of how to coach through the lessons taught, thanks for the great memories as your assistant coach and the many laughs!

Jim and I were classmates and track mates both at Rhodes High School and Miami University. My condolences to his family. In particular his sons who I just met for the first time just days before Jim's passing. God speed Jim.

I have known coach since the tenth grade (1979). A coach's coach. A true legend. His teams were always well prepared. Will miss our conversations. May his family be at peace.

Coach was the best of the best. He was smart, skilled, humble, hard-working and a positive influence on so many lives. We will miss him and never see another like him. We considered him a member of our family and have many great memories of travels with Jim. Our condolences to Brandon, Jared, Sharee and Jalen

I worked with Jim at East Tech. Jim was a great teacher and coach. He inspired students to learn and excel in the classroom and on the track. I always looked forward to seeing Jim from time to time and will miss his love for life and his kids. My heartfelt condolences to all his family, friends and students.

Fond memories, you were so dedicated and good to us Coach! I’ll always remember you standing at the 200, yelling out times and pushing me through the turn. You are loved, and I’ll always be grateful of your impact in my life!

I’m sure everyone that ever had the pleasure of knowing Coach Emery will agree he was everyone's Coach, my daughter will miss the conversations this summer and I will miss the walks with you and Oscar. Thank you for being my friend. May God bless your family.

Memory- I´ll never forget driving down to states with your left turn signal on the entire way. :) I´ll never forget your true kind nature toward every athlete on the Beaumont track team.
