James Akins Obituary
Jamie was born in Aurora Illinois but spent his life in Tennessee. A graduate of Loudon High School, class of 1980, he trained in maintenance care and dedicated his career throughout Loudon and Knoxville, keeping its residents safe and comfortable. He earned several awards and achievements for his hard work and will be remembered for his strong work ethic. In his free time, Jamie collected Hot Wheels and enjoyed the community of collectors he shared his passion with.
Jamie is preceded in death by his father, Franklin "Dee" Akins and his brother, Edward "Eddie" Akins.
Jamie is survived by his mother, Kaye (Hammer) Akins-Wallace; son, Chris Akins; brother, Frank (Chrissy) Akins; and sister, Faith (Troy) Emmett.
The family will be honoring Jamie's life privately at this time. Condolences may be left at www.mcgillclick.com.
