In memory of
Marianna Vieira
November 15, 2024
I seem to be saying the same thing every few years. Dr A and I talked politics just before he died. We both shared a terror of Trump, and I took some comfort in knowing that he died before having to face this hell. Eight years later I feel this blessing even more but so wish he were around to help me navigate this scary time. He was my doctor for 30 years, but I most remember him as a very dear friend.

I still miss Dr A daily, especially during these crazy times. For the last several years of my visits, we talked more as friends than as people in a therapeutic relationship. He loved books as much as I did, and we both scared a horror of the indecency and lunacy we found in politics. I wish he were here to help me negotiate these scary waters. I saw him for thirty years, and it was only at his death that I realized he was more beloved friend than doctor. His positive view of me still helps me get through the day, but I wish we could meet again

Dear Family of Dr. A,
I'm so sorry for your loss and extend my deepest condolences to each of you.
Jim was such a wonderful man whom I had the honor of knowing for many years through CCC. Soft spoken, quick to smile, share encouragement, tremendously compassionate, his love of family, our country, and always those he cared for so devotedly, as well as his quiet humility, are but just some of the amazing qualities Jim possessed that inspired and blessed me. Jim was one of the kindest gentlemen ever, and I shall miss him always. He will never be forgotten. I pray for comfort for your family, and may Jim rest in peace welcomed into the arms of Our Lord. God bless Dr. A, and each of his loving family and friends in mourning, until we meet again.

Dear Mrs. Alexander and family, I am very sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Mr. Alexander from 30+ years ago. I was often at your house taking dance lessons or tennis lessons and whenever he was there, he'd come over to say hello, ask how I was and was super nice to me. There's a reason I never forgot that. You are all in my thoughts at this time.
