Capt. James Francis Anderson

Capt. James Francis Anderson, past away November 25, 2007 at the age of 87. James was born in Brestwick Ayrshire, Scotland on June 30, 1920. He was also a resident of New Orleans for 58 years. James fell to rest in Houston, TX where he resided after Hurricane Katrina with his family. James spent most of his life as a Merchant Marine Captain and also served in the British Merchant Marine during World War II. He loved to spend his time with his family or playing golf and tennis. James was predeceased by his sons William Cameron Anderson and James Ingram Anderson. He is survived by Pearl Ingram Anderson his wife of 61 years, his daughter Catherine Anderson Newman, wife of David Newman, and Rebecca Anderson, late wife of William Cameron Anderson. He was a loving grandfather of Bonnie Anderson Suckow, wife of Mark Suckow; William James Newman, Leah Newman Stagg, David Anderson Newman, and Robert Frank Newman. He was also a great-grandfather to Scott Ryan Stagg, William Bradley Suckow, Robin Kate Suckow, and Rebecca Elizabeth Suckow.
