James Barschel Obituary
He was predeceased by his parents Fritz and Muriel Barschel. Paul is survived by: his wife Carole, Moosomin SK; sons, Laurie (Sue) St. Thomas Ont., Kerry (Alisa), Vancouver BC, and Timothy, Vancouver BC; daughter Jean Anne Overand (Keith) Virden MB; Grandsons, Joshua Overand (Kate) Moosomin SK, Evan Overand (Meghan) Elkhorn MB, Great Grandsons, Hudson and Noah Overand, Moosomin SK; Sister Jean Anne Manuel (William) Bermuda, nephew Rick Manuel (Nancy), Bermuda, nieces Kathy Manual, Bermuda and Janet Shaw (Brent) New Brunswick.
Paul was a loving husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and friend. He was a dedicated family Physician. He was a passionate hunter, fisherman, curler and golfer. He spent much time pursuing these interests with his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held this summer at a date to be announced. The family thanks the staff of Moosomin Hospital and Long Term Care Facility for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Paul and his family.

Dear Carol, Laurie, Kerry, Tim, Jean Anne and families - I am so sorry for your loss. Dr Barschel was a great mentor to me - very patient, very knowledgable, and an excellent decision maker under critical times as I worked with him as an Xray and Lab tech. I was proud to work with him. May your wonderful memories of him last always. My deepest sympathy.

Our deepest sympathy to all of the family in the loss of such a wonderful man. Dr Barschel delivered our beautiful daughter into this world in 1988. In the delivery room my husband and Dr Barschel were trying to decide would she be a right or left handed golfer. Until the day he retired she always loved going to the doctors office to see him.
