BECK, Ralph James Ralph James Beck of West Vancouver died in May, 2021. He was just a month shy of his one hundredth birthday. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Weeden) and his son, Sheldon. Ralph is survived by one daughter, Nathalie (Beck) Gaglardi and son-in-law, Bob Gaglardi, and grandchildren Devonna Gaglardi (Charlie Brezer), and Mitchell Gaglardi (Melissa Plain), and loving step-grandchildren Tom (Brittney) Gaglardi and Andrea Gaglardi. Many great grandchildren added new life to his recent years. Ralph was born June 7, 1921 to James and Maggie Beck. He lived most of his life in West Vancouver where he met the love of his life at a bus stop. They were happily married for 75 years. He was an entrepreneur, a hotel chain owner, a sculptor, and most importantly, always a gentleman. He will be fondly remembered and missed by scores of family and friends.

Always loved Ralph as a friend to his son Sheldon from high school. Straight talking and wonderful wife kept a beautiful home by the sea and Sheldon above the garage, a private sweet place to entertain for sure. Marc B misses them both.

I'm so saddened to hear this news. Bryan and I were talking about our last visit with Ralph and Pat, about 4 or 5 years ago. They were such great friends to my Mom and Dad, Ken and Marjorie Nichols. I fondly remember their visits to my parents' home. Dad would always tease, "here comes the good-looking one!" (referring to Pat, of course ;) She was the sweetest lady and Ralph was such a kind-hearted man. Big hugs to Nathalie.
