"I used to be a heavy smoker. Now I´m just heavy!" I´ll never forget when he used that line in a talk he gave. Just as funny today as when I first heard it. Loved his sense of humor and quick wit.

It was July 2017. We were all nerves preparing to move to Milford. While out in our ministry Tom & Lynn took us by the cutest beach cottage to meet their dear friends. Jim was an immediate favorite. Made us laugh, told the most outrageous stories, made us feel right at home. His and Muriel´s friendship were gifts from Jehovah. -Luke 18:29,30.

I got stuck in the bathroom when I was very young and couldn't slide the lock so my parents called the fire department and the guy who saved me was Jim, didn't know that until a few yrs ago. Jim was also there for me and my family when my dad passed.he was really one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

Yes Jim did save me from a locked bathroom in the early 60s that I remember like yesterday. I didn't know it until 50 yrs later.and he was there when my dad passed and encouraged us.

A wonderful friend beyond compare. Reliable encouraging, caring and FUN!
Jim was always there for our family and loved my Moms Arabic pizza. He kindly gave a beautiful memorial talk for my Father & was there for us in every time of need, always showing up in the nick of time, even rescuing my little brother from a locked bathroom in the early 1960´s!
It was a privilege being his friend and will miss his phone calls and the jokes he loved to tell at 11am, if you know, you know!
Always faithful & loyal set a great example of a man who did things Gods way and always kept his eyes focused on the better days ahead "when all is made new".
We wait for that glorious day with even more anticipation now to see Jim again on a restored Paradise earth. I will have some Jack Daniel´s waiting for him!

Many years ago, Diana and I were impressed how Jim would feed the squirrels on the back deck by hand. We thought it was so cool, even though he'd complain how they would hang on the screen door wanting more nuts. To this day, we do the same. We feed the squirrels by hand in our backyard....always remembering Jim....who taught us to do so.

We were camping at River Road Campsites in Clinton. Jim would cook breakfast for close to 80 friends. We replaced one egg with a hardboiled egg & filmed him with our Super 8 Camera to catch the moment when he tried to crack the egg. Timeless Memory!
