My sincere condolences to Sue and all of Jim´s loved ones and family.
In high school Jim was a self-assured popular guy and an accomplished athlete who crossed the usual social boundaries imposed by high school life with his friendliness and especially his love of music and own musicianship. I admired his guitar playing, and appreciated his telling me about .38 Special long before anyone was talking about that band.
Many years later, when I would return to Oneonta for high school reunions Jim was always especially welcoming. His behavior toward me reminded me that at any age, if you choose to, you can be a great guy. Jim was a great guy.
