After military service during the Korean War, he hired on with the Southern Pacific Railroad as a switchman. Following his retirement from Southern Pacific, he founded Berg and Sons Construction. I will miss you Jimmie. I will miss your crazy sense of humor. All of your jokes, that no one could ever tell if you made them up or if you were retelling. However, you were the best teller of jokes. Don't know if I enjoyed how much you enjoyed telling them, or if the jokes were ever that good. But the moments were all memorable. I loved how you were always great at a conversation and lit up a room with your energy. I am so blessed for having you as a brother, even if we didn't get to know each other until later in life.I'm grateful that you with Judy's help found the Lord and came to know and love him. You will be missed.
