He was truly a loving man.
He had plenty of children, grand-children, and great-grand children to prove that. As the only grandson who bears his first and last name, I will be sure that this world in which we live today, understands what it means to be a descendent of James Briggs of Midland, Texas. I thank God for my dad my, who showed such courage to stand before family, friends, and loved ones and preach a heart-filled powerful message at grandaddy's home-going services. He was strong for all of us. Grand we love so much. R.I.P.

I take this oppurtunity to say that we are going to really miss Daddy Briggs, just on the other day
Goldman, Warren and I were setting on the porch steps in Midland, Texas.
Just talking about the recent events of dads passing. How that he just came down to bewith us for Christmas We had a wonderful time.

As a matter of fact what made this trip so special is the fact that he had things to get in his way that was trying to hinder his travel to be with us.

But God saw him through. You know there is a saying for us to live for the moment. And James Briggs did just that. I had the chance to know James Briggs in 1978, through his son James B. Briggs Sr.

When I met him he had that warm gentle, awesome smile showing those big peices of gold in his mouth.

He never met a stranger and his friendship was genuine. On the day I met him he told me to call him daddy.

I was excited to know that this man was willing to accept me as his daughter inlaw. At his home going service his son James B. Briggs Sr. and James Briggs Jr.
did and awesome tribute for him.

I am not braging because I am realated to these guys. But I hope that God allowed daddy to view his on service.

Whenever I hear those big trucks with pipes on them it reminds me of Dad.

We are going to truly miss him and we sure did love him.

We look forward to seeing you again, because we know that you had a chance to receive the awesome gift God had for you and that was Salvation.
Your daughter inlaw Shelia P. Briggs. Dallas, Texas
