Rest in Peace, Jim! Condolences to your loved ones! I belatedly learned of your passing. Were I to speak to you today, I would thank you for your assistance in several difficult personal injury cases I handled for your patients who were clients of mine. Your expertise served them well. God Bless!

I had the privilege to work with Dr. Brinkman in the operating room at Sacred Heart Medical Center. He was a wonderful surgeon, teacher, mentor, and friend. He had a passion for life and love to tell stories about skiing at Swietzer with his family and friends. He had a life well lived. Rest in peace, Dr. Brinkman.

As a young student nurse and later, a RN in the "burn unit", Dr. Brinkman was a force to reckon with. He was a brilliant plastic surgeon and a dedicated medical professional. My condolences to his family & loved ones.

I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I remember him from when we used to visit his family on the farm, and when he would visit my family while he and Mary Lou were at KU. He was a lovely man, full of laughter and kindness. I remember my parents saying how much they enjoyed visits with him when he and Mary Lou would come back to Lawrence. He was a treasured cousin and will be missed.

Dr. Brinkman was the partner of the surgeon who did my rhinoseptoplasty. I knew Dr. Brinkman from my many years of working in Surgery at Sacred Heart and my office visits with his partner. He was a great surgeon and it was an honor to have witnessed him practice his gift. May he rest in peace.
