James Arthur Britton

Britton-James (Arthur) age 79. Born in Willard, Ohio on October 28th, 1930, 1 of 15 children, passed away on January 23rd, 2010 in the care of the Albuquerque, NM VA Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Ernestina Britton, and his 8 children, Jim & Susan Britton, Debbie Keel, Teresa & Randy Smith, Elizabeth & Thomas Benton, Arthur Britton, Christopher & Yolanda Britton, Debra & Ronald Lamb, and Patricia Navarrete, and many grand & great-grandchildren. Art was deeply loved by family and friends. He served with the US Army in the Korean War. He received the Honorable Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, W/3 Bronze campaign stars, Combat Infantry Badge, and United Nations Service Medal. Art was a long time Albuquerque resident and was prominent in the Real-estate, trucking, motel, and restaurant businesses for many years. French's Mortuary will perform the cremation, and the interment is planned at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in the spring.
