Britton-James (Arthur) age 79. Born in Willard, Ohio on October 28th, 1930, 1 of 15 children, passed away on January 23rd, 2010 in the care of the Albuquerque, NM VA Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Ernestina Britton, and his 8 children, Jim & Susan Britton, Debbie Keel, Teresa & Randy Smith, Elizabeth & Thomas Benton, Arthur Britton, Christopher & Yolanda Britton, Debra & Ronald Lamb, and Patricia Navarrete, and many grand & great-grandchildren. Art was deeply loved by family and friends. He served with the US Army in the Korean War. He received the Honorable Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, W/3 Bronze campaign stars, Combat Infantry Badge, and United Nations Service Medal. Art was a long time Albuquerque resident and was prominent in the Real-estate, trucking, motel, and restaurant businesses for many years. French's Mortuary will perform the cremation, and the interment is planned at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in the spring. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association NM Chapter.9500 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Suite 209, ABQ, NM 87111.
