Hey, Jimbo! Think of you often! I'm sure that you and my dad, Bob Phillips , are having lively conversations in heaven since his passing in 2021.

Jim and I were Freshman roommates at SDSU. We had a lot of fun together, but he was also a diligent student. We would earn $5 each and sometimes a "rubber chicken" banquet meal by singing our folk songs to his excellent guitar playing. What a fun guy, and a good friend. We kept up with each other at reunions, and I know by his stories that he loved his family. Deepest sympathies.

I met Jim through my daughter, Janet Sorensen. We became friends via telephone conversations and Jim even made a point to visit me when he was in South Dakota. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.... he will be greatly missed.

I have known Jim since grade school and we have remained friends through the years. I will miss our chats, laughs and his witty sense of humor. He always brightened my day. Thank you, Jimbo, for being in my life!

Truly one of a kind has left us. My sympathies to his family; may your pleasant memories keep him alive.

Jim was a special person and no one ever forgot after they met him. 66 years of friendship and good memories. Not one bad one. Amazing!

It hurts my heart that Jim is gone from us. His spirit will live on in my memory!
