Dear Paula, Krissy and the rest of the family. From the minute I met Jim at Allegro restaurant ,about 35 years ago, where I waited on Jim and Paula, to the many years of cutting his hair , I can honestly say he was a very genuine, nice guy and will truly be missed.

This year was hard. Seeing someone you love lose their independence rather suddenly is devastating. Navigating an illness with many unknowns, like dementia, takes a very strong and determined person. You never let any of this get you down, Poppy! Even in the most difficult moments this past year, you stayed so positive and persevered! I will be forever thankful for: your words of wisdom..you wrote the BEST cards for every birthday and holiday, your Poppy-isms, your consistent and supportive presence in my life..you never missed a swim meet or life event, big or small!!, your sense of humor, your love of travel and animals, your hugs!!!, your caring, selfless, and nurturing ways..even up until last week, he was still making sure WE were ok and thinking of others first (including asking the nurses if he could get them something to drink ), our pool days and weekends including a Biscuitville breakfast when I was little, and your infectious and joyous presence no matter where you were or who you were with! It is an honor and privilege to be your granddaughter and I am so thankful for the precious time we had together. Forever would not have been long enough with you! Love always and I promise to always shine

This year was hard. Seeing someone you love lose their independence and spark for life is devastating. Forever would not have been enough time with you Poppy. I am so lucky to have a guardian Angel like you watching over me I promise to shine for you always!
