James L. "Buck" Buchanan

Linda, there will not be another "BUCK". He was the kindest, most helpful, fun to be around with, entertaining, by singing Waylon Jennings songs, who sounded just like Waylon & all our get together s. Miss this guy & loved him...Can't believe it has been a year since he went to live in HEAVEN with GOD!!! Peace be with you Linda, & his daughter Tonya.

I am deeply saddened over the loss of my friend Buck. I always enjoyed stopping in the store to chat with Buck and Linda and having a few laughs with them. They were both very helpful in helping me refurnish my house when I moved back to Spartanburg following Hurricane Katrina. We became friends over the years, and they shared my interest in history and genealogy. They came to my historical presentations at the library and at Chapman and were always supportive. Buck was one of those special people that one meets in a lifetime; I will always have wonderful memories of the times we spent talking and laughing together.
