My sincere condolences to the Buckley family on the loss of you father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and family patriarch, Jim. He was great Amerian, a patriot and, above all, a good person.

I knew himas a friend and neighbor at Fox Hill. He was the "proprietor" of "Bistro 555" a very private club where for several years we two met weekly at 5:00 p.m. over whiskey and snacks to talk about families, politics, history, current events and any subject that came to mind. With my wife, Emma, and other friends we also met for dinner -- including a special 100th birthday dinner in March.

I will remember him as the kind, generous, and warm friend he was.

He was a great American. I met him in person once and was impressed by his good nature and sharp mind, even at 90 years of age.
