Dear Doreen & Jim's Family,
Please accept our sincere condolences towards the passing of Jim Butler.

We were surprised to hear the news of his departure from Terry & Albert Shea.

Myself (John) had never met Jim, but I certainely enjoyed the memorable conversation I had with him on the phone four years ago.

Wishing you all the Best in the future.

Most sincerely,

John Butler &

His mother Andree Butler.

Condolences to the family. My sister Elizabeth and brother Michael, had a chance to meet Jim at a family reunion on Grosse Isle a few years ago. All of us had a great time, and it's unfortunate to hear of Jim's passing. Best regards to all,

We are saddened by Jim's passing and will miss him. Very good memories remain: Enjoyable golf outings over many years to Dorval, Meadowbrook, Le Cardinal, Veaudreuil, L'Atlantide and Owl's Head. Saturday evening get-togethers at Jim's home with no talk allowed on the taped but not yet watched golf tournament followed by dinners at Alex H or Le Paris Beurre.

Our sympathies are with Doreen, Bob, Sarah, Kelly and her family and Sean.

It is with shock and great sadness that I write these few words in memory of a very fine individual.
Jim and I were the same age and shared many years of happy memories and wonderful experiences together. We spent our childhood years growing up in Arvida, went on to St. F.X. University together and started our working careers in Montreal where we shared an apartment during our bachelor years.
Jim was the best friend I ever had and always stood tall in the eyes of everyone who knew him well. He loved to play the devil's advocate but always in the end came down on the side of the underdog. His children and grandchildren should take real pride in the fact that their father or grandfather was a very special caring human being.
I will miss him terribly and will never forget him. Janet and I extend our deepest regrets to all who were near and dear to Jim.

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of this wonderful man!
I was involved in the City of Côte Saint-Luc for over 30 years in various aspects, but mostly with the Emergency Medical Services.
I often saw Jim and was ALWAYS greeted with a smile and ALWAYS had pleasant conversations with him. When the City was reconstituted, I told him that he should become City Manager again..he smiled.
I will miss him dearly!!
My sympathies go out to his family.
Myself as well as all the aqaintances that he made over the years, most definitely were left with a lasting impression!!!

Goodbye Mr. Butler.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Mr. Butler's death. He was a pleasant person and boss. He would always arrive and leave City Hall with a smile. Please accept my sincere and deepest condolences.
