James CAIRNS Obituary

CAIRNS, James McEwen After a lengthy struggle with a severe illness, James Cairns succumbed to his condition and passed away on Monday, October 24th, 2011. Affectionately know as Jimmy or Jimbo, he is survived by his loving wife Susan, his two sons Robbie and Nelson, his mother Patricia and his brother David. Jim will be missed for his gifted story telling, his love of words and poetry and his tremendous awe he had for the natural beauty of the West Coast of B.C. A Funeral Service will be held at the Squamish Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1369 Harris Rd, Squamish, B.C., on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 at 2 pm. Reception to follow.

Hi Susan - I saw Jeff's posting on FB, so searched for the obit as I wasn't sure what he was referring to. So sorry to hear about Jim's passing, my goodness, so many people dying young these days, be well and I will send an email later. Jane Hemlin

so sorry to hear about jim, myself mike young, and rod dingle worked for jim for a few years doing brickwork in maple ridge area, had many a laugh with jim he had a great sense of humor, he was fiery, funny and thoughtful, and good alround guy, miss you jim even though it's been awhile since i saw you, mike young, surrey.
