My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jimmy. I was fortunate to recently speak with him at my nephew´s wedding and 30th birthday party. I remember his kindness. I remember his patience in love and caring for his Mother. I could see she took comfort in his presence and was happy. Praying for love, comfort and peace.

My cousin Jimmy has the most beautiful soul. His love and kindness to all creatures was immeasurable. One of my memories of Jim was when we all went on a family walk and halfway through, him and my brother Matt leaned over the railing of a bridge and together caught a fish with some fishing line they found! Boys being silly boys!
Jimmy was full of such love and never did he say goodbye without saying "love you".
I loved the way he loved his cousin, my sister, Amanda! Always making her laugh and feel so special. Amanda always looked up to Jimmy and loved him so much, as we all do! I smile knowing he is at peace and up in heaven but my heart breaks for all who loved him, he is and always will be loved and missed.

I want to share a story about my friend Jimmy. He was my Facebook friend and we also connected on WhatsApp. We had been friends for 6 months. Jimmy was a very friendly and kind man, and he quickly became one of my best friends. He was also taking care of his mom. Sadly, Jimmy recently passed away, and I am feeling extremely sad and shocked. I live in Afghanistan and I'm 18 years old. I appreciated how Jimmy would always encourage and help me when I was feeling disappointed or sad. We had hoped to meet each other, but now I am trying to find out where he is buried so I can pay my respects. I miss him a lot. Thank you

Jimmy was an amazing human, gone too soon and will be greatly missed by all that loved him. Pete and I spent an endless amount of time with The Chieffalo family when all the kids were young - trips to Lake George, our first cruise to Bermuda, so many celebrations - birthdays, New Year's, Christmas, pool parties at their home....the memories are too numerous to mention. Jimmy was always quick with a joke, ready to have fun and so laid back. Whenever he was in Whole Foods he would stop to chat with Pete....such a good, loving kid. We can't imagine the difficult time his mom and sister's are having with his sudden passing. We hope they find comfort in each other and all the friends the family has made over the years - new and old.

Jimmy was the best neighbor and friend anyone could ask for. I am who I am largely because of the time I spent with him and the influence he had on me.

Jimmy taught me more through listening than any other person has done by speaking. He was wise and compassionate well beyond what I thought possible. I will never forget you.

Jimmy was electric. There are a lot of things you can say about Jimmy as a friend and a person- but the part I want everyone to know about is what it was like to know him as a teammate. I must have played on 9 or 10 different baseball teams with Jimmy growing up as kids all the way through High School. Jimmy was a guy that would make you feel 9 feet when he was in your corner. His fearlessness was contagious and he made everyone around him better. And when you played against him - you felt like you were f**ked. The whole time (most of the time) with a huge smile on his face. It takes more than just a good athlete to make you feel that way. Jimmy was a larger than life character that was just made of different stuff than the rest of us. Jimmy, we´re gonna miss you and I´m certain we´re never gonna meet another one like you.

Annual family pilgrimages to Fenway to see the Sawks take on all comers. 2 am fire alarm at the Kenmore Howard Johnson sent all of us outside in our pajamas, late night swim on the (low) rooftop at the downtown Radisson. Bert, his dad, was a Sox fanatic. White water rafting on the Mohawk River, Sue Ellen dancing on the outside rim of one of the rafts. Trips to Lake Compounce and Six Flags amusement parks.

But my most memorable trip was taking Jimmy and Mike, maybe 12 or 13, to a day game at Fenway, dead center of the bleachers on a scorcher. Jimmy sat next to this guy by himself with short red hair, early 20s, maybe 5´-6", dressed in full tennis whites, head to toe. Jimmy and him start talking Sox for a while when 4 two fisted beer drinking inebriated youths sat down behind us spilling beer onto Jimmy and Mike. Yadda yadda. They spill beer again, this time I stand up and so does the redhead. A little less yadda yadda this time and before we know it redhead and the tall mouthy dude are "taking it outside". We never saw them again. That´s it, not a great story but forever etched into my mind.

Rest in peace Jimmy, God bless you. I certainly will miss you.
