Hard to believe it´s been 9 years... I am so glad that I got to know the real Jim and not just his public persona... still miss the breakfasts with Jim and Barry .... Perhaps one of the few times that superintendents and school committee chairs got to actually agree that all that really mattered were the students and faculty...

We would like to extend our Deepest Sympathies to your entire family with the loss of Jim. He was a wonderful man and wonderful educator. I was fortunate to have him as my Assistant Superintendent when I was in in the Suoerintendent's office. He was a true professional and cared so much about everyone. I met Dr. Collins when he worked for the Town of Wareham. He was the definition of a true gentlemen and always had a smile. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends at this difficult time. RIP Dr. Collins.

With heartfelt sympathy on Jim's passing. What a loss of a great man. We will miss him so much at our SEA luncheons. We go back many years and have great memories!
