James Cooper Obituary
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co., Tyler.
Mr. Cooper died Dec. 24, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 15, 1936, in Haslam. He attended Marion Anderson schools and had resided in Smith County for more than 50 years. He was a supervisor at Tyler Pipe Industries.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gail "Badger" Cooper; and six siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn J. Cooper of Tyler; sons, James Earl Cooper Jr., and Rufus Dewayne Cooper, of Tyler; daughter, Cynthia Jackson (Arthur) of Tyler; brothers, Louis Henry Cooper of Tyler, Raymond "Red" Cooper of Winona; sister, Addie Pearl Eleby, Joaquin; grandchildren, Markita "Cat" Cooper Lane, Nicholas Cooper, DeBrico Chase, Arthur "Boo" Jackson Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Nikyla "Kiyla" Cooper, Mar'Sean "LaSean" Cooper Lane and J'Aidan "Jada" Cooper Lane.
