Dear Marcie and family:

Patrick and I just learned today of Jim's death. We were shocked and very sad to learn this news. We rarely visit Merced since our move in 2020 to Rancho Murieta, but well remember Jim (and you) from our years there. It is consoling to know that Jim died while on a trip fly-fishing in a place he must have loved. Still, his loss must be a terrible blow to you all, and we want you to know we too mourn his passing. He was a good man.

Just learned today of Jim's passing 4months ago. Yesterday May 28th would have been his 76th birthday. He was my 1st "Best Friend " from the age of 1 to 12. Jamie was a treasure among the O'Neal Ave Hayward kids of the 50's. Playing ball, roller skating, picking apricots, so many
memories. R.I.P. my redheaded Amigo....Chuck Gouveia

I'll add my deepest condolences to Jim's family. After Hayward High, our paths never crossed and it was many years ago that I last attended a Reunion. Jim was a sweet, kind boy in high school. Clearly he built a wonderful loving, successful and joyful life with career and family. May his memory be a blessing. Ricka (Kanter) Fisher

Dear Correa Family, I was shocked and saddened to learn of Jim´s passing. We were friends from kindergarten through high school and grew up on the same street. We spent many hours playing ball in the street and were teammates on the cross country and track teams at HHS. I regret not keeping in touch with Jim after high school. Even though we hadn´t seen one another for many years, I´ll never forget Jim and the years we spent together. My deepest sympathy to you all. -Mike Kenney

Kevan and I were incredibly sad to hear of Jim´s passing. We know how much Knoel treasured his friendship and will remember him always. Jim was such a positive light to be around. He brought laughter and fun when we last were all together in Hawaii. That is how we will remember him. Being silly and joking around with his friends. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers with our most sincere condolences and love.

Jimmy was always a wonderful man to see in Katmai National Park fly-fishing. I knew Jimmy for about 10 years via Katmai. He was a great listener, a talented fly-fisherman, and cared about the environment. He will be missed.
