Father John,
There was an audible gasp at the 8 am mass when Father Bill announced that you were on your way (again) to NY to bury your father this time. Most of us over 50 know what it is like to lose a parent and understand what you are going through. Please know that many prayers are coming from Athens.

Your dad has finally and rapidly followed your mom to be together with her. The We are praying for you and the whole family that you will experience the peace that is now theirs and that you will feel God's strength and consolation in this time of sorrow.

He finally made it...he made it heaven. Although I never knew your Dad, I can easily tell that he was a fine man, great husband, and loving father. They don't make 'em like him anymore.

I am sure that he was VERY proud of you, Father John.
